For Zap’s “The King of Basketball” campaign, as a fundamental component, we developed a special application under the sponsorship that Zap (of the Zap Group) provides to the players of the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team. The Facebook application for the Zap and Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv site was a trivia quiz built in Flash and fully interfaced with Facebook Connect. The application is not on Facebook, but instead on Zap’s web site, and allows connecting to the application from Facebook by pressing a button that connects a Facebook user to the application.
This application was developed under the sponsorship that the Zap site provides to the players of the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team. The interactive trivia game, Zap’s “The King of Basketball,” in which participants are required to answer comparison questions about the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team, includes questions about the history of the team and its players. The hardcore fans of the team are invited to test their level of knowledge about Maccabi Tel Aviv in order to win the title of “The King of Basketball.” The winners would also enjoy two tickets to the league games of the team at the Nokia Arena. The interactive game was also intended to promote the new Zap Market category on the Zap site.
The application integrates diverse sounds and animations that convey the sensation of a TV quiz show.
A special management system was developed for the application that allows for viewing the scores of game participants, their timings, visitation times, and statistics according to segments such cities, age groups, gender, visitation times, etc.
